Dementia Care

Person Centred Dementia Care

From recognising initial symptoms, to learning to live well with memory loss, we understand the huge challenges faced by those affected by Dementia and their families. Choosing to use care services is a huge decision, and we are dedicated to working closely with you to make the transition as smooth as possible.Coming to terms with this illness is hard for both those affected by it and their loved ones. When a person with dementia finds that their mental abilities are declining, they often feel vulnerable and in need of reassurance and support. The people closest to them – including their carers, friends and family – need to do everything they can to help the person to retain their sense of identity and feelings of self-worth.

Our highly-trained dementia carers know all about the different types and stages of the condition, and they’re experienced in helping people and their families cope with the challenges that caring for someone with dementia brings about on a daily basis. We see our customers for what they are – people with emotions, feelings, likes and dislikes. Instead of treating the person as a collection of symptoms and behaviours to be controlled, we consider the whole person, taking into account each individual’s unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs. That’s why we believe in providing our dementia support services through the entire process. Our friendly team of dementia carers will talk you through all elements of our person centred care services.

Our carers are enthusiastic and committed to caring for someone with dementia, helping them to live comfortably within the environment they’re most familiar with – their own homes.

Whatever support you need

Our staff provide care, help around the house and companionship, including personal care and maintaining hygiene, administering medication, shopping and cooking, household duties and accompanying you on trips out.

If needed, we can help you to re-adjust to looking after yourself after a hospital stay or illness.

We aim to provide dedicated teams of either three or four care staff, to ensure that we can provide continuity of care and cover for sickness and holidays. Your care and the service you receive will then be monitored at regular intervals. Calls start at 30 minutes a day, up to a full 24 hours of 1:1 support. If you’re considering dementia live-in care, you can rely on our carers to always deliver their support always to the highest possible standards.
